This day was a nice vacation day.  I didn’t go all out this year with low carb foods with Thanksgiving dinner being mainly turkey and broccoli bacon salad for me.  I didn’t feel the need to make the annual sausage dressing this year or any other treats.  It was a nice day, and it felt good to bust out a sub 9:00 pace on the run.  The ankle is still a bit dead feeling without the same bounce as the uninjured one, but it didn’t swell up afterwards.  My arms are sore from the last night’s workout, but that is a good thing.

Here Kent…what does a 10:15am run taste like? Never had one of them to eat before lol ;o) I noticed too, you eat a good variety, but dam it must cost u a fortune in grub (food).

After a 4.15 mile run to, you don’t eat til 1pm… do you not need the urge to want to eat something earlier – I understand Low Carb satisfies longer – but For instance, I eat an hour before the gym, quite a big meal (healthy of course ;o) but after a 2hour work out am starving!!!

Re: variety and cost, you’d be surprised on how cheap everything is. It being thanksgiving helped a little in the variety, but my diet is more geared around no fuss no mess (or little mess for the wife’s sake).

Was waiting until 1pm desireable after a decent pace run? Probably not, but it was Thanksgiving and turkeys take awhile to cook. I did have some broccoli bacon salad after it was made and chilled though. I am not a big fan of eating right before a run (especially a long run) as I don’t like the extra nausea. Just a little caffiene sometimes primes the pump is about it for pre-race nutrition and existing body stores. As for after, I can usually manage but I do usually start drinking like crazy.
